Tiffany & Charlie

About the Couple

Venue – Tudor Barn

Photographer – Faye Cornhill

Why do you want to capture your wedding on video?
In all honesty I have no idea what to expect from a videographer. I guess the little parts of the day that make it special to us.

Why did you pick Mills Films to do your wedding videography?
Friends of mine used you for their wedding (Adrian and Holly – see their wedding film here!) and I thought their video was stunning and unlike the normal, bland videos I’m used to seeing.

You guys? …What do you do?..How do you spend your days?..What’s important in life? etc etc
Tiffany – primary school teacher. Fairly outgoing. Love spending time with my family. Charlie and I are expecting our first child in July so we\’ll have a 5 month old at the wedding.

Charlie – vehicle technician for Tesla. Very driven careerwise. Very chilled out, fairly quiet in social situations.

The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)
We went to Winter Wonderland which is where we had our first date 2 years before. We spent the afternoon there eating, drinking and generally being merry. He had booked a private pod on the wheel (which was odd as he’s terrified of heights). He proposed at the top. I cried…a lot. Apparently I didn’t say yes, I just kept asking if he was sure. Then he\’d booked a swanky hotel in London and a lovely dinner out.

Tudor Barn in Slough? … Why this place above anywhere else?
We’re getting married at St James which is my (Tiffany) childhood church. I was christened and confirmed there and used to help out with the Sunday school. It is also where my parents were married. My stepfather passed away 2 years ago so it was really important to have him as involved with the wedding as I can, and I know he would have approved.

The reception venue is at the Tudor barn. As I chose the church, Charlie chose the venue. It’s perfect for a winter wedding as we can fill it with candles and twinkly lights and it’s a much more relaxed setting than a big hotel.

What experience do you want to give to your guests?
We want them to really enjoy the day. It’s not going to be overly formal. We are going to have fun. My maid of honour has planned a game of Mr and Mrs for after the speeches (which hopefully won’t lead to divorce). We have had a tough few years with losing my dad and having lots of fertility treatment but we have come out of the other side stronger than ever and this is going to be a real celebration.
